ARTIST STATEMENT:
My life changed when I had a brain aneurysm which caused a stroke on my left side. The neurosurgeon told my family that most likely I would not paint or be creative again since the aneurysm was on my right side of the brain. Only by the grace and mercy b of God I survived after brain surgery and many weeks of physical therapy. I constantly repeated Philippians 4:13 , "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME" and I was able to overcome. God gave me life and an inner and physical strength to walk , talk, and paint again. I work at capturing the images and designs of a diversity of subjects that I love from my rural environment to my everyday scenes and florals.
It is my desire to utilize the creative process of painting to express God's gift in nature with images of design and color to bring JOY to you through my eyes for the Glory of God. This is why I want to share my artwork with you today.
